Seriously , dont bother looking anywhere else on Kangaroo Island to go fishing , just book it ,drive the distance and pay the money , it is well and truly worth it !!   Outstanding Fishing Charter!! I took my 80 year old father and my two sons, 19 and 14 for a day charter. Gavin Solly, the skipper, has outstanding... read more knowledge of the Investigator Strait and the waters beyond and promptly located plenty of fish for all on board. Alex who was the deckhand and fixer of all problems, was so knowledgeable and happy to assist with fishing tips and baiting up hooks. We bagged out on nannygai and then went on to target king George whiting. So good was the charter we booked again the next day.
The second days charter saw us again bag out on the nanny’s, bag three sharks and Gavin also managed to get my 80 year a large Samson!
This charter is easily the best, friendliest and most accomodating charter I have been out on.
I would recommend staying at the KI Fishing Adventure cottages which are 10 mins from the marina - these are the best after a massive day on the water, to relax and have a couple of beers and tell some tall stories.
Thanks Gav and Alex for the wonderful experience and looking after dad and the three generations of his family.we’ll see you again soon.
