While it was a trek to get there as we were not staying in the units onsite (1 1/2... read more hrs drive from penneshaw) we arrived bright and early. While steaming gnout to the 1st drop Havin and crew were super helpful at explaining the rules of the boat and some tips for catching in KI waters.
It took all of 3mins being at the 1st drop before I got the 1st legal Nannygai of the trip and the fish kept coming thick and fast after that.
In total my partner and I ended up with 8 Nannygai, 1 swallowtail, 2 whiting including my PB KGW @ 51cm and a couple of snapper that were quickly returned to the water I. Accordance with the 3yr ban on Snapper fishing.
All over we could not recommend this enough and will definitely be returning g for another trip in the future when we next visit KI.

Anyone thinking of doing this charter make sure you bring a BIG esky to hold all your fish.

We have not missed a year, except for this year as we are Victorians. So all I can say if Gavin did not give us his full experience and fishing spots I am sure we would not be true regulars.
We have rally missed completely bagging out on any species that we are allowed to fish. I and my mates can recommend Gavin Solly as highly professional and sincere, and a great communicator.
